Jeffrey Buettner

Jeffrey Buettner is Assistant Professor of Music at Middlebury College, where he teaches music theory, musicianship, choral literature and conducting, and conducts the College Choir. Jeff also conducts the Orchestra Chorus and Concert Chorale of the Vermont Youth Orchestra Association. Jeff studied church music and organ with John Ferguson at St. Olaf College, and he holds a masters degree from the University of Cincinnati and doctorate from Michigan State University. Jeff has served as organist for Lutheran, Presbyterian, United Methodist and United Church of Christ congregations. In addition to classical organ and choral literature, Jeff has studied folk, Soul and Rhythm and Blues music, and Romani (Gypsy) music traditions. Jeff lives in Middlebury with his wife, Jessica Allen.
