2021 Holiday Bazaar

Saturday, November 6th

9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Congregational Church of Middlebury, UCC

30 North Pleasant Street

This year's bazaar will feature a wide variety of gift and personal items: Hand crafts; fashion and fine jewelry, ties and scarfs; theme gift baskets; rooms full of books, toys, puzzles and games. A Garden Table will offer a wide variety of indoor and outdoor plants and other garden-related items. Also choose from a delicious variety of homemade foods for take-out: Soups, pies, cookies, cakes, breads, candies, jams, and more! Masks are required for all.

Plans and contact information for this year’s Holiday Bazaar are:

Bazaar Co-Chairs: Ruth Penfield and Judy Jessup

Table and Room Managers: (see map for table layout)

Not offered this year (postponed until next year): We will not be able to host an indoor Luncheon. Also, we will not offer or accept items for Attic Treasure or Finer Things, and there will not be a quilt raffle this year.

How Can You Help?

Donate!  Donations will be needed for the tables/rooms mentioned above, however please contact the Table and Room managers directly about specific needs that you can help with.

All our Tables and Rooms need volunteers to help set up and price during the week prior to the Bazaar, to sell on the day of the Bazaar, and to break down the Tables and Rooms after the Bazaar is over. We traditionally hold a Second Chance sale for our church members the Sunday morning following the Bazaar and would very much appreciate your help there as well.

Other volunteer helpers needed: Contact Judy Jessup or Ruth Penfield if you have time to volunteer.  Thank you!

Jewelry Drop Off: Any time before setup week

We are accepting donations of fashion and fine jewelry early! Drop off in the labeled box at the church office window any time in October to allow the Jewelry Table leaders to get a head start on pricing. See Ruth Penfield or Judy Jessup with questions.

How to obtain pie plates and soup containers

Pick up in Fellowship Hall on weekdays from 9AM – noon or Sundays: A supply of aluminum pie pans and reusable soup containers and matching lids are available on a card table, along with a sign-up sheet in Fellowship Hall next to the Pantry Room doors.  When you pick up, please write your name on the sign-up sheet and what you take (plan to make) and how many of each, so that we may have a record and to thank you!

Request delivery: If you are unable to get to church during the times mentioned above, please call Nancy Foster, Kay Bussiere or Anna Hardway. Tell them the number of items you need and arrange for a volunteer to deliver them to you.
